Positioned between three-phase mains and Indramat inverter racks, it rectifies incoming AC, builds a shared DC link, and absorbs regenerative energy returned from servo axes. This arrangement keeps drive buses within safe voltage limits and reduces stress on separate braking resistors. In industrial automation, it serves as a centralized power manager for machine tools, packaging systems, and conveyor installations, allowing multiple drives to exchange energy efficiently during rapid acceleration, deceleration, or holding operations.
The module maintains a bus potential of 320 V, which is the reference voltage the downstream inverters expect for stable current control.
