The NAM04.2-480-0450-NE-120 is a power line form module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the NAM Power Line Form Modules series. It is installed at the front end of multi-axis drive cabinets to rectify and monitor incoming mains power before feeding a common DC link. The module also contains the control circuitry for its internal contactor and mains detection logic, and it is energized by a 120 V AC control supply so that switching and diagnostics remain active even when the main bus is de-energized.
The module accepts a three-phase input of 3 AC 380–480 V ±10 % at either 50 Hz or 60 Hz. Under those conditions the power section can conduct up to 450 A of line current while the control circuit draws only 15 VA. A short-term overload reserve of 1000 VA / 150 ms supports inrush demands during contactor closing. To pre-charge the link capacitors without tripping upstream protection, the preload circuit limits charging current to 1 A. When the main contactor is wired, its terminal screws must be tightened to 35 Nm, and the copper conductors feeding that device need a cross-section of 2 × 120 mm². The open-style IP00 housing is intended for mounting inside a finished electrical enclosure where ambient cooling air is directed across the heat-dissipating surfaces.
The DC bus that follows this module may be expanded to a maximum capacitance of 150 mF, allowing large energy buffers for heavy acceleration cycles. Protection on the control side is handled by the factory-installed Q1 breaker, rated at 1.6 A with a breaking capacity of 100 kA; its reference input is 1.1 A, while applications that demand additional margin can fit a recommended 3.0 A device. Automatic mains voltage detection eliminates manual range selection. The assembled unit weighs 20 kg, so cabinet supports must accommodate that static load without relying on the surrounding wiring for mechanical support.
