The MTS-R02.2-M2-B1-B1-NN-FW model occupies 2 slots in the RMB02.2 rack and the optional U1 to U3 slots enable the installation of open field bus interfaces or additional serial interfaces. The MTS-R02 is a small-format SPS that comes in IP20 rating which provides protection against 12.5 mm dust particles and allows touching it by hand safely. The module is installed in line with the NC control module which provides effective CNC motion control. The MTS-R02 small format SPS unit operates at 24V DC voltage with 4 Vss ripples and the maximum current consumption by the device is 0.7A with the maximum heat loss of 19.6 W. The enclosure dimensions of the MT-R02 module are 83.7 mm (W), 192 mm (H), and 156 mm (D) and the total weight of the model is 1.65 kg. The module can be stored between the temperature ranges of -25 to +70 ͦC.
The model MTS-R02.2-M2-B1-B1-NN-FW is equipped with two INTERBUS-S master modules and the third slot is empty. The INTERBUS-S master module is suitable for connecting devices, which range from simple sensors or actors up to intelligent field devices, via the INTERBUS. The RS232/RS485 programming interface is used to connect several SPS controllers in a network. The general purpose serial interface is used for connecting printers or visualization unit. The module is equipped with a rechargeable battery having a service life of 7 to 10 years. The battery is required is store the SPS user program and retentive data which can be lost if the MTS-R02 module is not used or stored for more than 6 months. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
