The MTS-R01.2-M2-B1-FW module is a servo control component produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MTS Servo Control Modules series. Mounted on the SERCOS or parallel I/O backplane of an Indramat drive cabinet, it acts as the central logic and auxiliary-power distributor for several axis drives. The device receives command words from the supervisory PLC, monitors status bits, and relays enable signals so that connected servo amplifiers respond in the required sequence. By consolidating these coordination tasks in one pluggable unit, the module simplifies system setup and keeps field wiring inside the cabinet to a minimum.
Its logic electronics operate from a nominal backplane supply of 24 VDC, and under that voltage the module draws a maximum current of 0.5 A; this current figure helps size the shared control supply. During peak data exchange, the internal converters can consume up to 52 W, so cabinet ventilation must dissipate this heat.
