Internal Product Review
The MTS-P02.2-D4-B1-S4-NN-NN-FW is a Bosch Rexroth Indramat servo control module designed as an ISA-BUS plug-in card with INTERBUS master capability. RS232/RS422/RS485 communication modes and 16 in / 16 out TTL I/O give the module strong flexibility for machine-level integration. Support for up to 4 PC/104 modules makes the module especially capable in layered control systems.

Product Description:
The MTS-P02.2-D4-B1-S4-NN-NN-FW is a servo control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the MTS Servo Control Modules series. It serves as the interface between a host PC and multiple drive controllers in an Indramat drive network. The card coordinates motion commands, fieldbus traffic, and diagnostic data for higher-level automation software. This lets a PC-based system supervise connected drives without requiring a separate standalone controller.
The module occupies an ISA-BUS plug-in card slot and measures 22 × 145 × 295 mm, allowing installation in compact 19-inch industrial PCs. Logic electronics draw a peak of 1.8 A from the +5 V rail, while the +12 V and -12 V rails supply the optocouplers and transceivers. On the front bracket, a 15-pin female D-sub connector carries command signals for Bt bus operation, and cable runs may extend up to 50 m while supporting four Bt panels. Communication with external devices is selectable through RS232/RS422/RS485 modes, and the board also provides two additional RS232 ports plus two RS422/485 ports on 9-pin male D-sub connectors. For distributed I/O or drive daisy-chaining, the card functions as an INTERBUS master with a 9-pin female D-sub connector. The top header also supports up to four PC/104 modules, with their +5 V supply limited by the board-side source.
The digital I/O block offers 16 in / 16 out channels that latch within one microsecond for synchronization with drive enable cycles. Power integrity is controlled by filter networks that keep ripple on the +5 V and ±12 V rails within 50 mV / 120 mV, which helps prevent data errors on serial links. Add-on PC/104 stacks can draw 2.5 A max from the board-side supply. This current limit applies to the expansion modules connected through the top header and helps keep the module operating within its intended power range.
