The MTS-P02.2-D2-B1-S4-NN-NN-FW is a servo control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MTS Servo Control Modules series. It coordinates multiple drive axes by bridging fieldbus networks, serial links, and local I/O so that motion commands from a PLC translate directly into drive-level torque or velocity references. Installed in a control rack, the unit provides deterministic communication and watchdog supervision for automated assembly lines, packaging machinery, and material-handling equipment.
As an Interbus master, the module administers 256 segments, and each configuration can transfer up to 4096 input points and 4096 output points. Ring lengths may extend to 12.8 km, while as many as 512 users, including remote I/O islands, valve terminals, or additional controllers, can share the same network. Two integrated RS-232 channels, plus a separate pair of RS-422/485 ports, support parameter download or HMI polling. The Bt bus accepts four terminals for proprietary option cards, and a PC/104 stack allows additional embedded boards. Each serial transmitter sources at least 12 mA, and the combined serial electronics draw no more than 250 mA during continuous traffic. Sixteen TTL inputs and sixteen TTL outputs provide direct, low-latency signal exchange with nearby sensors or actuators.
The housing measures 22 x 145 x 295 mm, allowing dense placement next to drive inverters in compact control cabinets. Logic rails deliver up to 1.8 A at +5 V, while a dedicated 2.5 A feed powers the PC/104 backplane, and a maximum of 4 PC/104 modules can be installed. The watchdog circuit interrupts operation when consumption rises above 150 mA or when the monitored supply exceeds 24 VDC. Two TTL banks, a 4-terminal Bt bus connector, and clearly labeled screw terminals simplify field wiring in compact control enclosures.
