The MTS-P02.2-D2-B1-S4-E1-NN-FW servo control module belongs to the MTS Servo Control Modules series from Bosch Rexroth Indramat. It functions as a central sequencing and communication unit in automated machinery, linking motion controllers, drives, and plant networks while hosting application-specific logic. By concentrating control functions inside the rack, the device shortens signal paths and reduces control cabinet wiring complexity in multi-axis systems.

The internal system bus supports 4 terminals, and these slots allow localized sensor or actuator stations without external repeaters. Physical connection to that bus uses a D-SUB, 9-pin, female plug, allowing keyed insertion and secure mating. With a supported trunk length of 50 m, the bus can span sizable production lines before signal attenuation becomes critical.
