Product Description:
The MTS-P01.2-D2-S4-NN-NN-NN-FW is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MTS Servo Control Modules series. It serves as the central processor in a drive stack, routing digital commands, position data, and safety interlocks between the machine PLC and connected servo inverters. Installed on the SERCOS backplane, the module fits a 22 mm slot and requires rack-mount cooling clearances of 145 mm in height and 295 mm in depth. By concentrating axis logic in one card, the device streamlines wiring and provides a common control platform for multi-axis automation.
The internal electronics are powered by a dedicated logic rail of +5 V. The board can draw up to 0.6 A from this rail, and ripple is limited to 50 mV to help prevent timing errors in the processor and memory blocks. Auxiliary circuitry, relay drivers, and opto-isolators use a separate +12 V supply, while analog conditioning stages are referenced to a -12 V negative rail. These positive and negative supplies allow a combined ripple of 120 mV, which helps maintain stable reference points for differential comparators and D/A converters. The printed-circuit assembly slides into a metal frame that maintains EMC shielding without increasing the 22 mm overall width, so adjacent cards remain accessible.
On the I/O side, the module supervises four axes on the BT system bus and provides space for four PC/104 daughter cards. Field communication is handled by 2 RS232 + 2 RS422/485 ports, which can be assigned to parameter download, HMI links, or remote diagnostics. Machine signals connect through 16 optically isolated inputs and 16 sourcing outputs, giving the module a direct interface for control and status exchange. A ready relay rated for 24 V and 150 mA reports module status to the safety chain without using a digital channel.
