The MTS-P01.2-D2-B1-S4-E1-NN-FW is a servo control module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MTS Servo Control Modules series. Installed in a compact 22 mm rack slot, it processes program code, exchanges data with connected drives, and forwards status messages to supervisory control systems. Within an automated cell, it links local operator terminals, fieldbus segments, and serial devices so axis controllers can receive coordinated setpoints while operators view real-time diagnostics. The module handles these control tasks in one slot, which helps conserve rack space for additional interface or motion hardware.
The module’s primary communication port supports RS232/RS422/RS485 signaling levels, and its logic section draws only 0.6 A from the regulated +5 V backplane rail, helping the supply stay within thermal limits. For distributed I/O, it acts as an INTERBUS Master, and the line is wired through a dedicated D-SUB 9-Pin Female connector that fits the series shielding scheme. Up to 4 operator panels can be attached through the integrated operating-panel interface so menu navigation and fault acknowledgment can occur locally. The card also provides two additional RS-232 ports and two RS-422/485 links, giving the unit several serial paths for scanners, printers, or external PLC bridges. In total, six serial sockets are available across the module for local device and controller connections. A maximum of four PC/104 daughter modules can be stacked to extend memory or add specialized coprocessors without occupying more cabinet space.
The aluminum carrier is 145 mm high and 22 mm wide, which helps preserve slot density in compact cabinets. The discrete section handles up to 16 TTL inputs for event capture while driving an equal number of outputs.
