Product Description:
The MTS-P01.2-D2-B1-P1-S4-E1-FW is a servo control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MTS Servo Control Modules series. Installed as an add-in controller inside a motion PC, it coordinates axis commands, fieldbus traffic, and local I/O so drive amplifiers and sensors can be synchronized during automated machining, packaging, or assembly tasks. The unit operates as an Interbus master through a female D-SUB 9 connector and supports four Bt bus devices so Indramat drives can be chained without extra gateways.
This controller occupies an ISA Plug-In Card slot and communicates with the host CPU across the ISA Bus, allowing deterministic data exchange with legacy industrial PCs. Its primary logic rail is rated at +5 VDC and the board draws only 0.6 A from that supply, while an auxiliary rail of +12 VDC powers on-board transceivers for the shared RS232/RS422/RS485 communication channel. Sixteen local TTL inputs and sixteen TTL outputs are provided for fast edge-triggered tasks, and two dedicated connectors expose the Serial Expansion header that offers two additional RS232 and two RS422/485 ports when extra sensors are needed.
A negative rail of -12 VDC is available for differential drivers and opto-isolators, and the board carries 4 PC/104 slots so compact daughter cards, such as digital encoders or high-speed counters, can be stacked without increasing rack width. The board includes 2 MB RAM for motion sequences and diagnostic buffers, while a Profibus interface acting as a DP Master links additional remote I/O panels. The 9-pin connectors share the same pinout as the Interbus port, simplifying cable management. Internal addressing permits up to four Bt devices to be polled in 250 µs cycles, and watchdog logic monitors the TTL I/O to guarantee deterministic response times during servo contouring.
