The MTS-P01.2-D2-B1-P1-NN-NN-FW servo control module is manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MTS Servo Control Modules series. It delivers local processing, fieldbus routing, and watchdog supervision so that connected drive amplifiers receive synchronized setpoints and immediate fault resets. Mounted on a backplane inside an Indramat cabinet, the unit links multi-axis motion controllers to plant-wide networks and discrete I/O, streamlining coordination in packaging lines, gantry loaders, and other automated equipment that rely on fast deterministic signaling.
Internal circuitry is powered from three supply rails of +5 V / +12 V / -12 V, and the logic section can draw up to 0.6 A from the +5 V line. Sixteen TTL-level PLC inputs and sixteen TTL outputs are provided on header strips, while a stack of up to four PC/104 cards can be added for axis-specific expansion. A hardware watchdog contact rated at 24 V / 150 mA disconnects downstream drives if the processor fails to refresh, adding a fast hardware layer of safety. The module can operate at up to 75% non-condensing relative humidity, and its housing reaches a depth of 295 mm, allowing predictable cable routing space in 300 mm control racks.
The front profile limits cabinet occupation to a width of 22 mm and a height of 145 mm, allowing dense side-by-side placement without blocking forced-air cooling paths. The BT system bus supports 4 terminals, letting adjacent drive controllers share high-speed status words through a short backplane jumper. External communication is handled by a 15-pin D-Sub female COM port, separate 9-pin D-Sub female connectors for Interbus and Profibus, and serial signaling that accommodates RS-232 / RS-422 / RS-485 standards, allowing the module to fit existing plant wiring schemes while conserving panel space.
