Product Description:
The MTS-P01.2-D2-B1-E1-N-NN-FW is a plug-in servo control module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MTS Servo Control Modules series. Installed in a motion controller rack, the board coordinates drive axes and peripheral sensors, acting as the communication hub between servo amplifiers and the host computer in automated machinery. It provides both local TTL I/O and fieldbus master capability so that position commands, status words, and safety interlocks flow through a single slot without external converters.
The module exchanges data with the embedded computer over the legacy ISA bus, which supplies a parallel address and data path for deterministic cycle times. The onboard processor is accessible through a configurable serial port that supports RS-232, RS-422, and RS-485 signaling levels, allowing the appropriate cable type to be selected for the installation. For distributed drive chains, the proprietary Bt fieldbus can extend up to 50 m without repeaters, and the trunk connects through a rugged 9-pin female D-Sub connector mounted on the front panel. Control electronics are powered from the backplane through three regulated rails of +5 V, +12 V, and -12 V, separating the digital logic, analog conversion, and transceiver sections to minimize noise coupling.
The master can supervise up to four Bt slaves and accepts as many as four PC/104 expansion cards for specialized processing. Sixteen local TTL inputs and sixteen TTL outputs allow direct wiring of limit switches or solenoids without external adapters. Logic current on the core rail is limited to 0.6 A, helping the host power supply remain within its available capacity. During a control event, the integrated watchdog circuit supplies up to 150 mA and tolerates line voltages as high as 24 V, enabling reliable emergency shutdown of external outputs. The board is 145 mm tall, 295 mm deep, and only 22 mm wide, allowing multiple modules to fit side by side in a compact enclosure.
