Product Description:
The MTS-P01.1-S1-B1-NN-NN-NN-FW Bosch Rexroth SPS module is configured to operate as a slave SPS. This module comes with a main memory size of 1MB RAM. The product communicates with an NC module through a 50-way ribbon cable local bus from the manufacturer. The DIP address switch of the device must be turned OFF when it is in use. The unit is fitted inside an unused ISA-BUS slot of an industrial PC by screwing it onto a cross-rail and securing it in place with the bracket provided. The module occupies two slots inside the PC or a BTV20/30 terminal offered by the manufacturer. It supports direct wiring of machine function keys when it is fitted inside the terminal.
The product communicates with remote I/O units through a DPS01 slave board. The firmware for this device must be ordered separately. The product comprises a basic unit along with an active PC104 interface. The unit should always be programmed or commissioned by means of some pre-settings before putting it into use. It is intended to operate between an ideal temperature of 0°C and 50°C. The module incorporates a rechargeable battery that gets charged during the startup. If the rechargeable battery is charged for 50 hours in the fully discharged state, it offers a buffer time of approximately 5,000 hours.
The life of the battery in the SPS module does not get affected by permanent charging. A fully charged battery lasts for a minimum of seven hours and a maximum of 10 hours. The DPS01 board used with the product features PROFIBUS-DP connections or interfaces in PC104 format to handle communication protocols between the remote I/O units and the product. This board is also integrated with a microprocessor for the automatic transfer of full data.
