Product Description:
The MTS-P01.1-M2-B1-E1-NN-NN-FW is a servo control module manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MTS Servo Control Modules series. Installed in a motion-control rack, this board serves as the communication and I/O concentrator that links multiple drive controllers to a supervisory PLC. It supports synchronized positioning and discrete signal exchange throughout an automation cell. By concentrating communication and local I/O on one card, it reduces the need for separate interface hardware within the rack.
The module mates with the rack over a 16-bit ISA bus, which transfers parameter data and status words to neighboring servo cards during each control cycle. A compact, stack-through PC/104 connector is fitted on the PCB so add-on boards can mount directly above the control card without extra cabling. Network traffic is handled by an onboard INTERBUS-S master that operates in master mode, follows the DIN E 19 258 timing scheme, and supervises up to 256 bus segments and 512 remote stations. Configuration files, process images, and diagnostic logs are stored in 2 MB RAM, allowing rapid startup after power is restored. When fully populated, the controller can exchange as many as 4096 input bits and 4096 output bits with the field network, and it also provides 16 local TTL inputs and 16 local TTL outputs for panel switches, relay coils, or sensor signals.
External diagnostics and software downloads can be carried out through the front-mounted RS-232 service port. A fail-safe watchdog circuit draws 24 V at 150 mA maximum from the control cabinet and trips the drives if program execution halts. The housing is only 17.5 mm wide and 124 mm high, so multiple modules can be lined up in a narrow rack. Its 280 mm depth leaves clearance for ribbon-cable bends behind the backplane, and front access to the service connection allows diagnostics without reaching behind the rack.
