Product Description:
The MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-NN-FW EP is a motion and logic control module produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MTC200 CNC Modules series. Designed as the central numerical controller in multi-axis machining or handling systems, it supervises axis modules, evaluates feedback, and issues synchronized setpoints to connected drives. Within an automation cell, the unit converts program code into coordinated motion across electric drives, enabling deterministic positioning and path interpolation. This arrangement allows the control to handle axis coordination, interpolation tasks, and sequencing from a single module.
It supports a base axis count of 8 and arrives with two installed axis modules, while up to eight drives can be linked per control loop through the SERCOS fiber-optic interface. The fiber channel tolerates a maximum link attenuation of 12.5 dB, so cabinet layout must stay within that loss budget. Four axes can be interpolated simultaneously, allowing contouring in three spatial dimensions with an auxiliary axis. During power-up, the controller declares NC-ready when the ready line receives 150 mA at 24 V. Program and diagnostic data move to the host PC through an ISA Bus, and a one-digit seven-segment display on the front panel shows code numbers for quick fault tracing.
Axis-related process signals are exchanged with the PLC over the Indramat Local Bus, and field wiring to the rack is grouped on a 50-Way Ribbon Cable that carries the SPS interconnect lines. One open axis slot is available for later expansion within the rack, which allows the control layout to grow without changing the base module arrangement. A power-fail lead time of 8 ms lets the controller store machine status before the supply collapses. Control software recognizes the function type as CNC With Export Restriction, which places regional limits on shipment but does not alter runtime behavior.
