Product Description:
Bosch Rexroth Indramat’s MTC-P01.2-M2-A2-A2-A2-FW is a controller board in the MTC200 CNC Modules series. The board serves as the numerical control core for metal-cutting, woodworking, or forming machines that require synchronized multi-axis motion. By executing interpolation algorithms and supervising drive groups, it converts part programs into coordinated position commands that travel across the system backplane and optical networks.
The module allocates processing capacity for 3 axis modules to manage position, velocity, and auxiliary logic in parallel. Up to 4 SERCOS loops are available, and each loop can address fiber-optic drive rings with deterministic timing. Through this network, the controller can command a maximum of 32 drives, while real-time interpolation is limited to four axes in a single machining cycle. During a power dropout, the onboard capacitors maintain logic for 8 ms, allowing the controller to store machine state and trigger an orderly stop. Physical installation occupies four ISA slots in the rack, and the 280 mm by 140 mm board profile must be considered when planning enclosure depth. A 50-pin local bus header provides high-speed parallel exchange with companion I/O cards.
Each SERCOS ring can host 8 drives per loop, so total drive capacity can be distributed among tooling, spindle orientation, and auxiliary handling tasks. Optical coupling tolerates a link attenuation of 12.5 dB, supporting long cabinet-to-drive distances without repeaters. System watchdog supervision draws 150 mA at 24 V, and this current is continuously monitored to detect processor stalls or bus contention. The controller can schedule up to seven concurrent processes so that auxiliary macros, diagnostics, and background optimization run beside the primary path.
