The MTC-P01.2-M1-A2-A2-A2-FW EP module is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MTC200 CNC Modules series. It is an axis control card that plugs into an industrial PC backplane to coordinate motion and I/O on machining centers and automated lines. By combining a CNC kernel with real-time drive communication, the board converts host instructions into deterministic SERCOS telegrams and enables synchronized multi-axis positioning for precise process sequencing in industrial automation. This arrangement keeps contouring, feed, and auxiliary axis commands aligned with machine timing during coordinated motion.

As an ISA plug-in card, the board uses the ISA + PC/104 bus stack so the host CPU can exchange status words and parameter blocks through shared memory at backplane speed. The axis module includes a coprocessor, and this logic offloads servo algorithms to 3 processor modules, leaving the host to handle HMI and file management. Embedded RAM is 1 MB, providing buffer space for interpolation blocks and diagnostic logs without taxing system memory. Physical size is 17.5 × 124 × 280 mm, allowing installation inside compact 19-inch racks. Drive commands are distributed over the optical SERCOS interface, giving galvanic isolation and stable telegram timing. The compact format fits standard controller assemblies without requiring a separate external motion module.

The axis card supervises 8 drives as supplied, and the control platform can be expanded to 32 drives with additional plug-in daughterboards when machine layouts demand higher spindle or feed counts. Internal scheduling can supervise 7 processes concurrently, so tool handling, probing, and auxiliary gantries can run in parallel with primary contouring. Hardware addressing across 4 slots allows a single industrial PC to host multiple MTC200 cards without resource conflicts. The module operates only in an industrial PC environment and carries an export-restriction flag that must be observed during shipment.
