The MTC-P01.2-E2-A2-NN-NN-FW model is design and manufactured by Rexroth Indramat to perform CNC control functions. The model belongs to the family of MTC 200 and it can be installed in an industrial PC. The MTC-P01.2 CNC module uses SERCOS optical fiber interface for developing communication with the drives. The single fiber optic loop is capable to connect up to 8 drives. The communication between the CNC module and the industrial PC is performed via a standard ISA bus and the Indramat local bus is used to communicate with the SPS module. The MTC-P01.2 CNC module should be installed in the free ISA slot of the industrial PC. A rechargeable battery is placed in this unit which helps in storing the user data for more than 6 months without being used. After re-commissioning, the battery requires 50 hours to be charged fully. The module performs CNC control functions without export restriction and a 2 MB RAM is installed for storing the operating parameters of the module. Before commissioning, the addresses must be set by using the DIP switch.
The model MTC-P01.2-E2-A2-NN-NN-FW is equipped with an H1 status display which helps in diagnosing errors and faults. An S1 diagnosis button is also installed in this unit.
