The module links a host PC to coordinated drive amplifiers, allowing deterministic control of multi-axis machinery such as milling centers, pick-and-place gantries, and automated assembly lines. It acts as the real-time interface between motion programs generated in the supervisory computer and high-speed servo loops executed in the drives, so mechanical motion stays synchronized with sub-millisecond precision.
The card manages up to 8 axes natively, meaning one controller can interpolate eight position loops without additional hardware. Its physical envelope of 17.5 x 124 x 280 mm corresponds to a single-width slot, so it fits behind the front panel without obstructing adjacent boards.
