Product Description:
The Rexroth Indramat MTC-P01.2-M1-A2-A2-A2-FW EP is a CNC controller. It is available in an ISA bus module format. The module is designed for installation inside an industrial PC. A base processor on the module base unit contains the CNC processor system. The module also has an integrated axis processor which can connect to a maximum of 8 drives through a SERCOS fiber optic interface. Up to three additional axis modules can be plugged into the module allowing the control of up to 32 drives. Up to three MTC modules can be installed in a BTV 20 or BTV 30 industrial computer. The BTV 20 is an operator terminal which contains all the required hardware components of the MTA 2000 control system. The BTV 30 is a PC-based machine operator terminal which allows integrated with one or more NC controls.
The MTC-P01.2-M1-A2-A2-A2-FW EP is an export restricted version of the module. RAM available on the module is 1 Megabyte. There are a total of four axis processor modules (with co-processor) on the MTC-P01.2-M1-A2-A2-A2-FW EP. Therefore 32 drives can be controlled from the module but only 4 axes can interpolate with each other. Each group of drives will require a separate fiber loop. Communication between the module and the computer takes places over the ISA bus. The module power supply is also routed over the ISA bus. User data may be lost if the module is stored for a time duration that exceeds 6 months. Battery on the module is recharged when the module is commissioned. A fully charged battery provides approximately 5,000 hours of backup time. Firmware for the module needs to be ordered separately.
