The Rexroth MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW is an export restricted CNC controller. It comes with 1 Megabyte of RAM. Base unit of the controller contains the CNC processor and one integrated axis controller. The base unit of the MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW occupies one ISA slot. One additional axis processor is provided with the MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW and takes up another ISA slot. The firmware for the MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW needs to be ordered separately. The controller is available in ISA bus module format and is compatible with industrial PCs. The controller module gets the power supply over the ISA bus. The controller-to-PC communication also takes place via the ISA bus. The CNC controller is deployed for industrial drive control applications. A SEROCS interface on the controller base unit enables drive-to-processor communication. Fiber optic cables loop through the drives and terminate on the SERCOS interface.
Both plastic and glass fiber cables can be used with the MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW. Plastic fiber cables are cheaper but can only be used for 40 meter link distances. Glass fiber cables are more expensive but can be used for 500 meter link distances. A rechargeable battery on the MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW ensures that user data is not lost when power is disconnected. The battery takes 50 hours to charge: a fully charged battery can provide backup for 5000 hours of operation. The MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-NN-NN-FW module in installed in a free ISA slot. It should be fixed so that it does not work loose due to vibration or shock. A bracket is provided for this purpose on the Rexroth BTV20 / BTV 30 terminals to hold the module in place. Some settings need to be made on the module prior to installation. Details of these settings can be seen in the product documentation. This unit can be shipped globally with a one-year warranty period from Wake Industrial.
