The MTC-P01.1-M1-A1-A1-A1-A1-FW is a motion and machine control processor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MTC200 CNC Modules series. Installed as a plug-in card inside an industrial PC, the unit provides the numerical control layer that synchronizes multi-axis drives and executes part programs for automated machining centers. By handling axis interpolation and drive coordination on a single board, it reduces controller footprint and supports retrofit use in metal-cutting and forming lines.

At the hardware level, the card supervises a baseline of 8 Drives, which is the number of servo or spindle inverters it can command without expansion. The maximum scope increases to 32 Drives, allowing larger transfer lines to be controlled from a single master. Communication with every inverter occurs on the SERCOS fiber-optic ring, so deterministic telegrams help maintain stable velocity control even at high spindle speeds. The control logic resides on an ISA Bus Plug-In Card, allowing direct insertion into legacy industrial PCs without additional backplane adapters. Four onboard slots accept application-specific daughterboards, and the presence of 4 module slots allows the card to support added I/O, fieldbus gateways, or extra memory as machine requirements change.

For enclosure layout, the card measures 280 mm deep, 124 mm high, and 17.5 mm wide, so multiple cards can mount side by side in a compact IPC chassis while still allowing airflow across heat-generating components. When a motion project requires coordinated gantries or head-tailstock pairs, up to 3 axis modules can be attached to extend interpolation capability without adding separate racks. The narrow profile also helps keep internal wiring short and leaves more room in the cabinet for safety relays, interface hardware, or other control modules.
