Torque motors are designed for high-torque operations and are used in heavy industrial applications. The standard torque that the MST530D-0012-FT-N0CN-NNNN can generate is a 2400 Nm rotational torque that ensures that every type of load can be moved around easily when spinning at the rate of 100 rotations per minute. When moving at the speed of 200 rotations per minute, the MST530D-0012-FT-N0CN-NNNN can generate a maximum torque of 4700 Nm. This 575-volt AC motor draws a nominal current of 64 amperes while at its maximum speed of 200 rpm where it generates the maximum value for the torque, this motor draws around 83 amperes of current.
The liquid cooling present in this motor is one of the main highlights besides this motor offering high rotational torque. This torque motor has a power rating of 22 kW of which a certain percentage dissipates generating a lot of heat and to combat that this motor features liquid cooling. The liquid cooling feature ensures the copper winding of the motor is wrapped with a cooling film in which the liquid coolant flows in order to help cool this torque motor. This torque motor comes with a thermal time constant of 8.3 minutes, which translates to the amount of time taken for this motor to settle down to its steady state temperature.
