With a flat and high torque design, the MST450D-0012-FT-N0CN-NNNN torque motor from Rexroth is a motor that features a synchronous design for rotation where the stator and the rotor of the motor feature the same operational speed. This particular model of torque motor offers a slow speed of 120 rpm but produces a massive rotational torque of 810 Nm at nominal operating conditions. These types of motors are designed for rotation purposes and for applications where torque is of higher priority than speed.

To operate this torque motor, a supply voltage of 290 volts AC is required with an input frequency range between 50 Hz to 60 Hz, while the maximum voltage needed for operation is 575 volts AC at maximum. The motor features around 30 pole pairs needed for creating the required induction effect for moving the rotor of this torque motor. This torque motor comes with a coil that has winding type 0012 with a winding resistance of 1.35 ohms and an inductance of 12.7 mH needed for high-frequency voltage suppression. In the case of high-frequency noise, connecting an EMC filter in parallel to the supply always filters out the high-frequency noise.

This motor with varying torque ratings comes with varying current ratings based on the load applied to it. The current range for this motor is from 33 amperes all the way up to 250 amperes which is the heavy-duty mode.
