For rotating applications that require slow and precise rotation while operating with heavy loads attached to its output shaft, the MST290G-0020-FT-N0CN-D303 is such a motor that is able to do all of that as it is a torque motor by design from Rexroth's IndraDyn T series of torque motors. This torque motor is a flat motor that is attached at the bottom of the rotating equipment and is used in rotary applications where it can provide a maximum speed of 346 rpm along with a maximum torque of 1150 Nm.
This torque motor requires anywhere between 290 volts AC to 575 volts AC to operate and has a 3-phase input voltage configuration requirement. To ensure the torque motor rotates smoothly, the MST290G-0020-FT-N0CN-D303 comes with 30 pole pairs, which means it features 60 poles that are responsible for the smooth rotation of the rotor of this torque motor. The rotor mass in the motor is 11.6 kg, while the stator mass is approximately 25.1 kg, which results in a combined mass of 36.7 kg, which is not too heavy for an industrial-grade motor, ensuring a portable and compact design.
This torque motor comes with an IP00 rating for protection, which means that it cannot be installed in dusty or wet areas as it cannot be protected against such environmental factors. The motor is recommended to be installed in a dry and closed space, preventing various environmental factors from affecting the overall performance of the servo motor. According to EN60034-1 standards, this torque motor comes with a Class F thermal insulation that can allow this motor to withstand temperatures of up to 170 degrees Celsius.
