Designed with 5 pole pair required for smooth rotation of the shaft, the MST290E-0018-FT-N0RN-NNNN from Rexroth comes with 1.59-ohm copper winding that helps generate the required magnetic field needed for motor spinning action along with winding inductance of 9.1 mH that makes sure the motor is able to suppress any unwanted high-frequency signals in the supply line that may affect the quality of the input voltage supply. The discharge capacity of this motor is around 20 nF which is very low ensuring the motor does not release unnecessary charge to the connected supply.
To operate this torque motor a supply voltage of range between 179 volts AC to 575 volts AC is required while the rated speed rating for this motor is quite slow at about 180 rpm but this is made by design as this motor is designed to produce high torques of up to 575 Nm. The motor can draw up to 180 amperes of current from the supply module, so make sure to pair it up with a heavy-duty supply that is capable of generating such high power output. The maximum speed offered by this motor is 350 rpm while producing a torque of 1150 Nm.
Since this motor is able to generate such a high output torque of 1150 Nm, there is a high chance that this motor may run a little hot and to combat such problems, the motor comes with a liquid cooling mode that keeps this motor cool during varying loads applied to the motor from the top. This motor also comes with a torque production rating of 16.4 Nm per ampere of current drawn from the supply which is one of the highest torque constant ratings in the MST series. The motor has a power rating of 10.8 kW while the liquid cooling dissipates around 5.1 kW of heat.
