The MST290E-0004-FT-N0CN-NNNN is designed to provide a high rotational torque of 575 Nm when operating at a nominal operating voltage of 290 volts AC while consuming just 12.5 amperes of current. This torque motor's primary purpose is to provide the rotational torque needed to rotate a base for CNC machines or drilling machines, or it can also be used in rotary drums such as in a wax filtration unit.
The maximum torque offered by this 5-pole pair design is a whopping 1150 Nm which is enough for most industrial applications. Each pole of this motor is responsible for generating the required electromagnetic induction force needed to rotate the shaft of the servo motor without slipping the rotor shaft. At every ampere of current drawn from the power unit, this torque motor is able to generate 16.7 Nm of torque force. This servo motor is placed flat onto the surface while the load or the coupler is attached from the top vertically where the shaft of this motor is present.
To keep this motor running smoothly without any mechanical hiccups, the use of self-lubricating bearings is always recommended, and if the users are using standard bearings, it is advised to lubricate this motor after every 30000 cycles of use to reduce wear and tear in the long run. This motor comes with an IP00 protection rating which means that it does not offer protection against environmental factors such as dust and water, but it does offer a Class F thermal insulation that helps keep this torque motor protected against fires that can reach temperatures of up to 170 degrees Celsius.
