The MST290D-0018-FT-N0CN-NNL3 is a stator section for a frameless synchronous torque motor produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat as part of the MST Synchronous Torque Motors series. This component forms the stationary winding assembly that, once combined with a matching rotor, delivers controlled rotary motion directly to driven machinery. Direct-drive layouts benefit from its ability to supply high torque at low speed, which helps reduce backlash and simplify transmission chains in automation cells. The frameless construction also lets the machine structure support the rotating assembly directly, which can eliminate couplings, belts, and gearbox stages from the drive path.
The stator uses liquid cooling through an internal jacket, and the circuit must maintain a flow of 7.0 l/min to keep winding temperature within limits during continuous duty. At the rated operating point, it delivers 350 Nm at 180 rpm, with a mechanical output of 6.60 kW. Supplying this torque requires a phase current of 26.0 A, and the copper windings present a resistance of 2.24 Ω. The stator is built with thermoencapsulation to stabilize the coil packs and protect them from vibration. Power cables exit through the end of the stator core, and no encoder is mounted, allowing the machine builder to select an external feedback device.
