Product Description:

MST160A-0050-FT-N0CN-D304 is a 500 rpm torque motor that is connected under a rotating equipment for example a rotating table, disc, or drum machine. Since all the listed applications are heavy, the motor is also capable of producing large magnitudes of torque ranging from 35 Nm all the way up to 90 Nm when spinning at the rate of 1000 rpm. This motor is less power-demanding as it only consumes approximately 20 amperes of current.

This is one of the compact motors in this series of torque motors from Bosch Electric, which is the IndraDyn T series. The winding 0050 in this motor comes with a resistance rating of 8.3 ohms while the inductance is rated at 31.4 mH, producing powerful electromagnetic induced fields needed to rotate this motor at higher levels of speeds without being overpowered or overheated. This motor design has a power rating of 1.8 kW while the efficiency rate of this motor allows it to have a torque constant ratio of 5.4 Nm per ampere of current.

The way this motor handles cooling is a bit different than other motor series from Rexroth Bosch Electric. This motor offers a simple yet effective cooling method using liquid cooling. The liquid cooling with the help of a compatible coolant ensures the motor continuously receives a supply of low-temperature liquid that helps dissipate heat from the internal systems of the motor allowing it to operate smoothly without any hiccups. For liquid cooling to be effective, the coolant in the motor system should be between 10 to 40 degrees Celsius with the liquid pressure below 3 bars. Make sure to also use ambient temperature to your advantage by keeping this motor in a place where the temperature is between 0 to 40 degrees Celsius to help the motor cool down quickly.
