Product Description:
The MST130G-0100-FT-N0CN-D303 torque motor is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and belongs to the MST Synchronous Torque Motors series. It is a frameless, liquid-cooled direct-drive unit intended for rotary tables, print cylinders, and other axes that need high continuous torque without the mechanical compliance introduced by gearboxes. In an automation cell, it mounts directly to the load and turns electrical energy into constant rotational force at low speed so position loops remain stiff and backlash-free.
During continuous operation, the motor delivers a Rated Torque of 60 Nm at a Rated Speed of 1000 rpm; together, these values correspond to a Rated Power of 6.3 kW. To sustain that output, the windings draw a Rated Current of 17.5 A, and their electromagnetic dynamics are governed by a Winding Inductance of 14.5 mH. A copper resistance of 3.3 Ω at 20 °C contributes to the I²R losses that the water circuit must remove. That cooling circuit passes through an open aluminum jacket, so heat is extracted directly at the stator laminations. The jacket circumference measures 150 mm, which lets the stator fit into moderate machine bores while maintaining a low thermal gradient. IP00 protection means the assembly is safe only after installation inside a sealed machine frame. Power conductors up to 2.5 mm² can be terminated at the stator leads, matching the continuous current requirement without excessive voltage drop.
For short duty cycles, the drive can generate a Maximum Torque of 100 Nm, a capability enabled by a peak phase current of 33.2 A before magnetic saturation occurs. The water path spans a Cooling Jacket Length of 183 mm, providing additional surface area to carry away the surge in copper and iron losses during these transients. Even with the extended jacket, the stator weighs only 10.5 kg, which helps keep moving-axis mass low.
