Product Description:
The MST130C-0050-FT-N0CN-NNNN is a frameless synchronous torque motor element produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MST Synchronous Torque Motors series. Designed to deliver direct-drive rotary motion, the segment eliminates gearboxes in indexing tables, winding spindles, and other slow-speed, high-torque stations in automated systems. Its construction allows the stator to be built into the machine housing while the rotor couples directly to the load for precise, low-maintenance operation. This direct arrangement also reduces backlash from transmission components, improves positioning smoothness, and supports quiet operation at very low rotational speeds.
At its continuous operating point, the motor supplies 25 Nm of torque while drawing 6.1 A of phase current; this combination yields a mechanical output of 1.31 kW at the base speed of 500 rpm. The water-jacket design keeps copper temperature stable, using a 113 mm long cooling path fed by an external circuit. Under momentary load peaks, the winding current may rise to 12.5 A, enabling the rotor to reach a stall torque of 50 Nm without thermal overload. The open aluminum jacket promotes even heat transfer and reduces magnetic losses, so drive controllers can maintain tight current regulation and avoid derating during intermittent duty cycles or rapid indexing sequences.
With an outside diameter of 150 mm, the stator can be integrated into compact housings, and the unit weighs 6.5 kg, which helps keep inertial load low for fast acceleration profiles. Because the frame carries an IP00 protection code, it must be mounted inside a clean, enclosed machine section where water lines and position sensors are already present. The open installation format requires the surrounding machine structure to provide the final protective enclosure and support routing for coolant lines and feedback hardware. The cooling jacket length, torque margin, and direct coupling provide stable thermal behavior, while the water circuit minimizes vibration that can occur with forced-air fans.
