The MST110D-0400-NN-NNNN is a torque motor assembly produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat for the MST Synchronous Torque Motors series. Intended for direct-drive rotary stages, the unit mounts on the machine frame and supplies smooth, backlash-free motion so indexing tables, winders, or print cylinders can be positioned without mechanical reduction. Acting as the stationary half of the electromagnetic drive system, it receives controlled current from an external inverter and generates the high pole-count magnetic field that propels the mating rotor in industrial automation lines.

This model is delivered as a fully wound stator, leaving the bearing and rotor interface to the host machine. Its windings form a three-phase synchronous circuit, allowing sinusoidal commutation and accurate torque linearity. Continuous operation is rated at 400 rpm, a speed point that balances torque density and thermal loading. The power interface is matched to a reference DC bus of 540 VDC, so it can couple directly with standard IndraDrive converters and support wide speed control through field-oriented regulation. The frame has an IP00 protection rating, so the conductors and laminations remain exposed. The assembly therefore must be enclosed inside a filtered cabinet or mechanical housing that provides forced-air or liquid cooling.

Installation height is limited to 1000 m, so reduced air density does not interfere with heat transfer or dielectric strength. Surrounding air must stay below 40 °C to keep coil temperatures within the permitted insulation range and to protect adjacent bearing lubricants from thermal thinning. During sustained torque production, acoustic emission does not exceed 75 dB(A).
