The MST110D-0400-FG-NNNN torque motor stator is produced by Bosch Rexroth Indramat within the MST Synchronous Torque Motors series. It serves as the stationary part of a direct-drive system that delivers high continuous torque at low speed for rotary tables, extruders, or printing drums in industrial automation. Operating on synchronous electromagnetic principles, the stator aligns the rotating magnetic field of its associated inverter to the machine shaft without reduction gearing, which helps reduce maintenance needs and backlash. Because the stator does not include an integrated position sensor, the machine must use an external encoder or resolver suited to the required feedback method. Direct-drive operation also helps the axis respond smoothly because there is no gearbox between the motor and the load.
A sealed steel body surrounds the windings and provides liquid cooling through internal channels that form a closed water circuit. Coolant enters at the base and exits at the head, giving the specified bottom-to-top flow path and keeping copper temperature below thermal limits during continuous duty. Every stator is supplied with a stator cooling jacket, which simplifies manifold plumbing and promotes even heat transfer across the housing.
