Product Description

Their products are not only suitable for current technology but also technology of the future. The MSM040B-0300-NN-M0-CC1 is a synchronous motor that falls under the MSM series. This type comes with stellar features such as compact design, dynamic response, and an IP54 degree of protection. It is both UL and CSA certified which allows it to be used in NFPA 79 applications across different countries. Thanks to its compact design, it can be mounted through three main ways.

These include IM B5, IM V1, and IM V3. In IM B5 orientation, the flange is mounted on the side. In the IM V1 orientation the flange is mounted on the bottom. In IM V3 orientation, the flange is mounted on the top. If mounted using IM V3, it risks getting damaged from the fluid in the shaft that might enter and destroy parts of the motor. The MSM040B-0300-NN-M0-CC1 motor is made of a combination of materials such as aluminum, resin, and polyamide which bolsters its durability and reliability.

It features a size 040, a natural convention cooling method, optical encoder and multiturn-absolute encoder, cable tail electrical connection, and an electrical release 2.45Nm holding brake. Technical parameters include 0.64Nm continuous torque at standstill, 1.60A continuous current at standstill, maximum torque and current of 1.91NM and 4.90A respectively. It also has a maximum speed of 5,000rpm and weighs about 1.3kg. The ambient conditions include an operating temperature of -20 to 80 degrees and a storage temperature range of between -20 and 60 degrees. Icing and moisture condensation are not allowed.
