Bosch Rexroth Indramat manufactures the MSM031B-R300-NN-M5-MH0 synchronous motor in the MSM IndraDyn S Synchronous Motors series. This compact motor is intended for light-duty industrial automation where installation space is limited but accurate axis control is still required. By converting regulated current from a servo drive into repeatable rotary motion, it supports pick-and-place movement, carton erecting, and small conveyor tasks. Integrated feedback works with compatible drive controllers to close the position loop and keep commanded motion aligned with machine timing.
The motor provides a continuous standstill torque of 0.64 Nm, allowing it to maintain a load at zero speed within its thermal capacity. Heat leaves the housing by natural convection, so no external fan circuit is required and surrounding airflow should remain open. The motor uses frame size 031, which gives it the smallest mounting format in this family and helps it fit compact assemblies. It has length code B, which provides more active material than the shortest housing while keeping the unit light. Winding code R300 sets the electrical characteristics used with 24 V and 48 V class IndraDrive Cs and MLD controllers for responsive torque control.
