Product Description

Creating futuristic and highly functional drive and motion control units is Bosch Rexroth’s forte. The company designed its MSK motor series with a wide power spectrum and narrow size increments. They also have a compact design with high torque density and support the addition of options.

The MSK100D-0300-NN-S2-AG0-RNNN is a model of the MSK motors in the IndraDrive platform. It is a self-cooling motor using natural convection for heat elimination. In this cooling method, the motor exchanges heat produced with the ambient air along a temperature gradient. Its temperature is monitored by two systems: the temperature model and the temperature sensor. The KTY84 thermal sensor is built into the motor’s stator to prevent irreversible damage due to overheating. Coating this MSK model is a varnish consisting of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water. It is highly resistant to sewage, current mineral oils, dilute acid and alkaline solutions, and water. The coat also has limited resistance to organic solvents and hydraulic oils.

Operating the MSK100D-0300-NN-S2-AG0-RNNN risk-free in adverse environmental conditions is possible thanks to its sealed housing. It is a product of the IP 65 protection category, meaning it does not admit solid extrinsic materials and water jets from different directions. Its single-turn encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface eliminates the need for a separate incremental encoder and monitors its absolute, indirect position within one mechanical rotation. Since this encoder uses the optical measuring principle, high-level precision is guaranteed. The encoder also has a data memory where parameters like the motor type name and control loop parameters are filed, reducing its startup time and ensuring its safe adjustment to the drive controller.
