Designed and manufactured via the combination of past, functional servo motor technology, with the improved and cost-effective approaches of modern techniques, the MSK103D-0300-NN-S1-UG0-NNNN is a final product of Rexroth manufacturing’s cutting-edge innovations.

The MSK103D-0300-NN-S1-UG0-NNNN being a brushless AC synchronous servo motor with life-time bearings and lubrication requires little to no maintenance. This largely sized motor is designed with the default Rexroth template, featuring the typical square-framed structure. However, within this design, the frame dimensions are specified at 192mm and 180mm for flange and centering diameter sizes respectively. This motor weighs 31.6kg; which is quite light for such physical size and comes to a total frame length of 265mm.

The torque characteristics of this motor is as follows: Under continuous duty, this motor can produce a torque at standstill of 46Nm. Also, with a maximum torque capacity of 138Nm, this motor is in the middle torque capacity rank for MSK motors. This makes it suitable for applications that require a slightly large frame with a reduced torque requirement per size. In terms of its speed, this servo motor runs at a maximum of 4600min-1. The winding phase current for achieving this speed is 26.3A. The maximum winding current can reach up to 94.7A, which is recommended for a short burst to achieve maximum torque. Complimenting the mechanical performance of this motor is its plain shaft type. This ensures smooth rotation with little to no noise at speed. Since it does not have a holding brake, this motor might require extra coupling for loading. Finally, to dissipate heat, this motor favours the natural convection cooling policy.

The MSK103D-0300-NN-S1-UG0-NNNN is well suited for applications that require some level of positional control, and this is due to its integrated optical encoder: a single-turn type Hiperface with 128 positional increments. Also, it comes with conveniently rotatable plugs for power supply and encoder output.
