Bosch Rexroth’s MSK motors are components of the innovative Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. They are synchronous servo motors used for applications beyond what is obtainable for regular servo motors. This is because of their flexibility and versatility. They are typically used in robotics, machine tools, and food processing machines.

The MSK101E-0300-FN-M1-AG3-NNNN is a synchronous servo motor in the MSK series designed for use as a rotary or servo main motor by Bosch Rexroth. It is cooled by a liquid cooling mechanism; hence, the motor can be used for extreme loads such as continuous start-stop operations with high repetition rates. It has four pairs and a maximum speed of 4,600 revolutions per minute. Like other motors of the MSK series, this model is compact and has a high torque density. It can be used maintenance-free with bearings that have a service lifetime of 30,000 operating hours. The motor’s housing is coated in a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water that is resistant to dilute acids and alkaline solutions.

According to EN 60529, the protection category of the MSK101E-0300-FN-M1-AG3-NNNN is IP 65. The servo motor is equipped with a multiturn encoder that uses the optical measuring principle to record the absolute, indirect position of the motor within 4,096 mechanical motor rotations. It preserves this information on the absolute position of the axis even after a switch-off. Thanks to the data memory of the encoder, the motor type name, and its control loop parameters can be stored. As a result, the rapid startup of the motor can be achieved, and its safe adjustment to its drive controller is guaranteed.
