The Bosch MSK101D-0450-FN-M2-AG0-RNNN is an AC motor. It is designed for use in industrial applications. The motor forms part of a servo system that also includes a drive controller. The drive controller has dual functions: supply motor power and control motor parameters such as torque and speed. The motor and controller form a closed-loop control system: the motor supplies continuous feedback to the controller and the controller uses this continuous feedback to continuously adjust its output. Feedback from the motor includes real-time information about motor speed, position, and torque. A digital encoder on the motor measures and provides this information. Six different types of encoders are available for MSK motors, and operators can order the one that suits their application. The encoder on the MSK101D-0450-FN-M2-AG0-RNNN is a multiturn absolute encoder with EnDat 2.1 interface.
The encoder is rated for 2048 signal periods. Other motor features include a smooth shaft with seal, power connection on side A of the housing, and a housing with increased concentricity and run out. The motor does not feature a holding brake. The MSK101D-0450-FN-M2-AG0-RNNN is liquid cooled motor. It comes with a coolant duct that has 0.11 liters volume. The coolant flows into the duct, absorbs heat dissipated by the motor, and gets pumped out. The heated coolant then passes the absorbed heat to another coolant in an external heat exchanger, or is passed into a radiator where it is exposed to cool air.
