Bosch Rexroth is the designer of the versatile Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. Its components include servo motors, drive converters, inverters, and other accessories. The MSK synchronous servo motors are a group of drive units in this drive system used as rotary main and servo drive motors.

The MSK101D-0300-FN-M1-AG2-NNNN is a model of the Bosch Rexroth MSK synchronous servo motors in the Rexroth IndraDrive drive system. It has a compact build, high torque density, and a precise multiturn encoder. Its encoder’s high-level precision is due to the use of the optical measurement principle, and it has a system accuracy of ±80 angular seconds.  Another favorable feature of the encoder is its data memory which stores vital information like the motor type name, control loop parameters, and more. This speeds up the motor’s startup and ensures its safe adjustment to its drive controller. The maximum speed of this MSK model is 4,600 revolutions per minute, and it has four pole pairs. Its rotor’s moment of inertia is 0.00932 kgm2.

With its completely sealed housing of IP 65 rating per EN 60529, the MSK101D-0300-FN-M1-AG2-NNNN can be safely operated in poor environmental conditions. This is because it is impermeable to solid external materials and water jets from all directions. It is cooled by a liquid cooling system where a coolant absorbs the heat from the motor and is released via a downstream heat exchanger to the ambient air. The motor is equipped with a plain output shaft that guarantees a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash. It also has a shaft sealing ring designed per DIN 3760 – design A and an electrically released holding brake of 70Nm.
