Product Description

Bosch Rexroth’s MSK motors are typically used as rotary main and servo drive motors. However, they are also suitable for applications beyond these because they support numerous additional options. The synchronous servo motors are compact with precise encoder systems and high torque density. Their typical applications include machine tools and robotics.

The MSK101D-0200-NN-S2-AG2-RNNN is a Bosch Rexroth MSK servo motor designed with a maximum speed of 3,400 revolutions per minute. It features a natural convection cooling model where a temperature gradient causes the heat generated during the motor’s operation to be transferred to the ambient air. To further protect it from damage due to thermal overload, it is equipped with two independent temperature monitoring systems: the temperature model and the temperature sensor. This temperature sensor is the KTY84 type, and it is built into the stator to alert users of threshold temperatures of up to 150oC. The output shaft in this MSK model is a plain type, providing a non-positive shaft-hub connection with zero backlash.

An electrically-released holding brake is present in the MSK101D-0200-NN-S2-AG2-RNNN to hold the axes at a standstill when it is disconnected from power. The motor features a single-turn encoder with the EnDat 2.1 interface for recording its absolute, indirect position within one mechanical rotation. This encoder’s system accuracy is ±20 angular seconds, and its measurement principle is the optical method. It also reduces the motor’s startup time as its data memory stores information like the motor type name and its control loop parameters. The sealed housing of this MSK model is coated in a varnish that consists of a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water.
