The Bosch MSK100D-0200-NN-S2-AG0-RNNN is an industrial servo motor. It is equipped with an optical singleturn encoder. Singleturn encoders provide feedback inside a single shaft revolution. The encoder is rated for 128 signal periods. The encoder system accuracy is 120 angular seconds. The maximum encoder speed is 12000 RPM. Maximum current consumption of the encoder is 60 milliamps and the supply voltage range is 7 to 12 Volts DC. The encoders permit absolute, indirect position recording within one mechanical rotation. The encoders replace separate incremental encoders on the motor. However, after each power failure or after the first power on, the axis must always at first be moved to its home position. The motor housing is designed for increased concentricity and run out. The housing complies with DIN 42955, a standard that defines the technical requirements for electro-mechanical actuators for use in industrial automation systems.

The standard covers both linear and rotary actuators, and specifies requirements for their mechanical, electrical, and functional characteristics. Some of the key requirements specified in DIN 42955 include dimensional and geometric tolerances, electrical ratings, load capacity, operational speed, and operational accuracy. The standard also includes requirements for testing and documentation, to ensure that actuators meet the necessary performance and safety standards. Bosch has designed the MSK100D-0200-NN-S2-AG0-RNNN motor for convection cooling and surface cooling. The permitted ambient temperature range is 0 to 40 degrees Celsius. The permitted site elevation is 0 to 1000 meters. Motor use outside these limits leads to performance degradation. The motor has a plain shaft with a shaft seal. The electrical power socket is on side A of the servo motor housing. The servo motor does not feature a holding brake.
