As an IndraDyn S synchronous servomotor, it converts drive current into precise rotary motion for positioning axes, gantries, and articulated mechanisms used throughout automated manufacturing lines. The motor uses natural convection, so heat is dissipated through the housing without auxiliary fans or liquid circuits. The housing is rated to IP65, which helps keep out dust and water jets during operation near process equipment. Position feedback comes from an optical encoder with 128 signal periods per revolution, and the Hiperface interface supports commutation and real-time drive diagnostics over a single hybrid cable.
