The Bosch Rexroth MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN is a synchronous servo motor. The motor forms a high-performance drive controller in combination with a drive controller. The controller provider motor power through a dedicated power cable. The power cable connects to a power socket on side A of the housing. A separate feedback cable also connects the motor and the controller. A motor encoder measures motor speed, torque, and position and sends this information to the controller. The encoder on the MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN motor is a multiturn optical encoder with an EnDat 2.1 interface and 2048 signal periods. Bosch recommends that operators should program the controller before commissioning the servo system. To minimize installation errors, Bosch recommends that only qualified personnel should plan and implement motor installation and operation. The main motor shaft includes a keyway and a shaft seal.
Bosch has designed the MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN servo motor for natural convection. Operators can use surface cooling if required. The output torque and current are higher with surface cooling. However a cooling fan or blower is also required for surface cooling. The MSK100C-0300-NN-M2-AP0-RNNN performs optimally when the ambient temperature lies between 0 and 40 degrees Celsius and the site elevation is between 0 and 1000 meters. The motor output current falls below rated values if the ambient conditions differ from the recommended conditions. The motor does not feature a holding brake. However Bosch does provide optional holding brakes. Customers can order the holding brakes separately if required. Multiple housing designs are available for MSK motors.
