This IndraDyn S synchronous servomotor converts electrical input into accurately regulated torque and position, enabling closed-loop motion control for packaging stations, pick-and-place gantries, and metal-cutting equipment. The unit supplies high-resolution feedback to the drive controller and maintains tight velocity profiles, making it a common actuator wherever repeatable positioning and rapid duty cycles are required within an automated production environment.

Protection grade IP65 seals the stator housing against dust ingress and water jets, so the motor can be mounted on open machinery without extra covers. Heat is removed by natural convection, meaning only ambient airflow is required and no external fan is fitted. Position feedback is supplied through an optical encoder that transmits over the EnDat2.1 interface with 2048 signal periods, giving the drive controller fine incremental data for speed loops. Mechanical power is delivered through a shaft with a keyway, a profile that simplifies coupling alignment and resists slip under cyclic torque. The concentricity-enhanced rotor design further reduces radial runout during high-speed operation.

The feedback device uses a single-turn count, which is sufficient for axes that home at power-up while still benefiting from the high resolution noted earlier. The motor has an insulation rating of 155, allowing continuous operation at winding temperatures compatible with Class F materials, and it uses the finely wound 0200 coil set. This electromagnetic package is housed in the 100 frame with length code C and connects electrically on the B-side to keep cable bends predictable inside tight cabinets. The assembly operates in ambient temperatures from 0–40 °C without derating and is supplied without a holding brake, so static load retention must be handled by the drive or an external clamp.
