Within an automation cell, this motor converts commanded current into controlled torque and speed so that positioning tables, gantry axes, or packaging stations can move accurately without mechanical backlash. Its standard housing supports passive cooling, while the integrated optical encoder reports absolute shaft position to the drive for closed-loop regulation during indexing, point-to-point moves, and constant-speed operation. That combination suits automated axes that require repeatable acceleration and accurate stopping.

This model relies on natural convection to remove heat, which eliminates the need for forced-air or liquid circuits and simplifies cabinet design.
