The MSK100C-0200-NN-M1-LG2-NNNN is an IndraDyn S synchronous servo motor manufactured by Bosch Rexroth Indramat and assigned to the MSK IndraDyn S Synchronous Motors series. The unit combines a size 100 frame with a C-length stator package to provide medium-to-high continuous torque for positioning axes, gantries, and packaging machinery. Within an automation cell, it converts commanded electrical power into regulated mechanical motion so that drive controllers can achieve precise velocity, torque, and position loops. Its closed-loop operating role also supports smooth motion during frequent starts, stops, and direction changes in automated equipment.

This motor uses natural convection to transfer heat from the housing to the surrounding air, eliminating the need for external fans in clean room or noise-sensitive installations. A permanently mounted, electrically released holding brake delivers 70 Nm of static torque, allowing vertical loads to remain fixed whenever the drive is de-energized. The motor is sealed to IP65; the stator, feedback head, and power connector resist dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, so direct mounting on machine frames is possible. Feedback is provided through a Hiperface interface that supplies digital position data to the drive through two-wire communication. Inside the encoder, an optical scale with 128 signal periods per revolution provides the fine resolution required for accurate commutation and smooth low-speed operation.

The encoder is a multi-turn absolute type, storing shaft position for up to 4,096 revolutions so homing routines are unnecessary after a power cycle. Winding code 0200 tailors resistance and inductance to IndraDrive amplifiers in the 400 V class, balancing current draw against thermal limits. Class 155 insulation permits winding temperatures up to 155 °C, which supports reliable operation under high load. Continuous operation is specified for ambient conditions from 0–40 °C, allowing the motor to run on typical factory floors without supplemental cooling housings.
