Product Description

The MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BP1-NNNN is a Bosch Rexroth MSK series servo motor. It is available in a standard housing. The combination of a sealed housing and sealed cable connectors gives the motor an IP65 ingress protection rating. This rating indicates that the servo motor is protected from dust ingress, and is also safe from fluids directed at the motor from low-pressure jets. The motor is equipped with an optical singleturn encoder. The encoder on the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BP1-NNNN supports Hiperface. In combination with a drive controller, this motor encoder enables the motor to form a high-performance servo system. The function of the encoder is to measure motor speed and torque. The motor transmits these measurements to the connected controller. Motor feedback allows the controller to modulate its output, and to ensure that motor speed and torque match the values programmed by an operator prior to system commissioning.

MSK motors can be ordered with the electrical connection at four separate locations. The electrical connection on the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BP1-NNNN motor is on side B. The motor receives electrical power from the drive controller through this connection. A separate feedback connector attaches to a feedback cable that carries motor feedback to the drive controller. The MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BP1-NNNN is also equipped with a 32 Nm holding brake. The brake works according to the electrically-actuate release principle: the brake releases the shaft and allows it to operate only after a 24 Volts DC release signal is applied. The motor requires 0 to 40 degrees Celsius ambient temperature. It is cooled via natural convection. Under extreme load conditions, the servo motor can also be sued with surface cooling. Liquid cooled MSK motors are also available from Bosch.
