Controlling and monitoring of MSK motors may require connection of additional sensors and actuators. Personnel who handle MSK motors must read and understand the product documentation, especially the notes regarding safety and intended use. Bosch does not permit any modifications to MSK motor hardware of software. Any motor found to be damaged must not be installed or put into operation. MSK motors must be installed according to regulations specified in the product documentation. Improper motor handling can lead to injury and property damage. Any damage or injury caused by improper motor use will be the sole responsibility of the user.

The MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BG2-NNNN motor is a features rich MSK motor. It is equipped with an optional holding brake, an integrated encoder, and a plain shaft with sealing ring. The motor housing has a standard design. The encoder on the motor is a singleturn optical encoder with Hiperface support. Singleturn encoders deliver feedback within a single shaft rotation. The encoder on the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BG2-NNNN is rated for 128 signal periods. The shaft on the MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BG2-NNNN motor is equipped with seal that prevents oil leakage. The shaft seal also protects the motor against dust and moisture. The holding brake is rated for 70 Nm holding torque. It is an electrically operated holding brake that is designed to release the shaft after application of a 24 Volts DC signal. The MSK100B-0300-NN-S1-BG2-NNNN motor is designed for convection cooling.
