Bosch Rexroth’s MSK synchronous motors are powerful, highly precise servo motors with a wide range of applications. They have a wide power spectrum with small size increments. These motors are used as servo main motors and are characterized by high dynamics, compact construction, high torque density, and an extremely high degree of precision due to new optical encoder systems. Their areas of application include machine tools, printing and paper processing machines, food and packaging machines, metal forming machines, and robotics.
For effective speed control and the adequate positioning of the motor by drive controllers, the MSK100B-0300-NN-M1-RG0-NNNN features an integrated optical encoder system. Its encoder is the multiturn absolute optical encoder with 128 increments which permits absolute, indirect position recording. The integrated encoder unit has a data memory where the motor's parameters like its type name, control loop parameters, and other parameters are stored. This model has an inbuilt temperature monitoring system that uses the temperature sensor and the temperature model to prevent irreversible heat damage to the motor.
The Ingress Protection rating of the MSK100B-0300-NN-M1-RG0-NNNN is IP 65 according to DIN EN 60529, which means that it is dustproof, and protected against water directed against it from different directions. It is coated in a black (RAL9005) 2K epoxy resin coating based on epoxy polyamide resin in water; hence, it is resistant to damage by dilute acids/alkaline solutions, water, sea-water, sewage, and current mineral oils. The coating gives it limited resistance to organic solvents and hydraulic oil. This motor should be operated at an ambient temperature of 40°C, relative air humidity of 95%, and set up at a maximum height of 1000m above sea level to get optimum performance.
